THE ROTUNDA - Florida lawmakers react to the violence between white supremacist groups and counter protesters that left three people dead in Charlottesville, Virginia. Heather D. Heyer, 32, was killed when a car driven by a man from Ohio plowed into the crowd. Heyer's mother, Susan Bro, said her daughter died standing up for her beliefs. On this episode, Gomes also follows Sen. Jack Latvala’s second announcement that he’s making a run for governor. The Clearwater Republican's first announcement was to Gomes back in February.

Some political observers claim the fallout it is all part of a long held strategy by House Speaker Richard Corcoran. Bay News 9’s Troy Kinsey weighs in on the controversy. Gomes also explores President Trump’s new media ventures. When it comes to “fake news,” President Trump is creating his own as a conservative pundit, Kayleigh McEnany, jumps from CNN to hosting pro-Trump news segments direct from Trump Tower in New York.
